To find a sales tax you must multiply the percent given by the cost of the item.
1) 43.99 is the cost given
2) 7% is the tax given which is 0.07 in decimal form
3)   multiply them:   43.99(0.07)
4) 43.99(0.07) = 3.0793
5) the tax is $3.07 or $3.08 if you must round

*you can also round the 43.99 to 44 to make it easier unless you were told by a teacher not to round

43.99 times 7% in decimal form which is 0.07 then it equals 3.0793 and if you want how much it would coat then you add 3.0793 and 43.99 i hope that

The answer would be A. 1 1/5

48/40 = 1 8/40

1 8/40 Simplify to 1 1/5

Hope this helps!
